Bitso Business Grows 83%, Surpassing US$150 Billion in Annualized Payments
PR Newswire
MEXICO CITY, Nov. 4, 2026
- Annualized total payment volume rose from US150 billion in one year.
- That works out to more than US$410 million processed through its infrastructure every day.
- More than 2,000 institutional clients use its services to connect traditional finance with stablecoins.
MEXICO CITY, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bitso Business, Bitso’s business services unit, has surpassed US$150 billion in annualized total payment volume (TPV), an 83% increase from US$82 billion a year ago.
That equals more than US$410 million a day processed through its infrastructure, which lets businesses make and settle payments 24/7. The growth reflects rising demand for solutions that connect traditional financial systems with stablecoin-based payment infrastructure.
“More and more companies see value in connecting traditional finance with stablecoins,” said Imran Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer of Bitso and General Manager of Bitso Business. “Behind every payment is someone counting on that money. It could be a family waiting for a remittance or a farmer who just delivered their harvest. Our job is to make sure they get it on time, even at night or on weekends.”
Bitso Business serves more than 2,000 institutional clients in remittances, payments, neobanking, digital commerce and other financial services. Its infrastructure connects local currencies, national payment systems and stablecoin liquidity to move funds between markets.
“Stablecoins are going from an emerging technology to a tool financial institutions use more and more. Mexico plays an especially important role in this shift because of the size of its financial flows and its ties to the United States,” said Country Manager México & Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Bitso.
This is part of Bitso’s Hybrid Finance (HyFi) vision: the convergence of traditional finance and blockchain-based infrastructure. It lets businesses benefit from the speed and availability of stablecoins while keeping their existing banking and commercial relationships.
Bitso Business processes roughly 15% of the value of remittances sent from the United States to Mexico and works with companies such as Félix Pago, which lets users send money via WhatsApp. Western Union recently selected Bitso Business as a service provider for its USDPT stablecoin in Mexico.
In 2027, Bitso Business plans to expand its connections with local financial systems across Latin America, under applicable regulations, and strengthen partnerships with traditional institutions adopting stablecoin payment infrastructure.
