EQS Group receives validation of its climate targets by the Science Based Targets initiative
PR Newswire
MUNICH, Oct. 26, 2026
MUNICH, Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — EQS Group, a global leader in agentic AI SaaS for compliance, today announced that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has successfully validated EQS Group’s near-term and net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets.
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) helps companies set measurable emissions reduction targets based on climate science. Its Corporate Net-Zero Standard calls for companies to take action in the near term and make deep emissions cuts over the longer term, both in their own operations and across their value chains. SBTi Services, the initiative’s target validation subsidiary, confirmed that EQS Group’s targets for 2030 and 2050 meet these requirements.
Validated targets
- Net-Zero: EQS Group commits to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050.
- Near-Term: EQS Group commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 85.0% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. EQS Group also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions 51.6% per EUR value added within the same timeframe.
- Long-Term: EQS Group commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90.0% by 2050 from a 2022 base year. EQS Group also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions 97.0% per EUR value added within the same timeframe.
Details on EQS Group’s targets are available on the SBTi website.
EQS already sources renewable electricity at its main locations in Germany and Spain, encourages employees to commute by bicycle or public transport, and permits business travel by air or car only in exceptional cases. EQS also reports its greenhouse gas emissions annually.
“Our customers and partners expect the same transparency and accountability from us that we help them achieve,” said Achim Weick, founder and CEO of EQS Group. “Setting science-based targets gives our emissions reduction work a clear direction. External validation provides a reference against which stakeholders can assess our progress. This is part of how we build lasting trust and a resilient business.”
