Y2K originals introduce a new era of low-rise glamour, pairing True Religion’s signature denim with Baby Phat’s unmistakable fabulosity

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Baby, it’s True… Two brands that set the standard for early-2000s glamour and attitude are teaming up for a defining fashion moment. True Religion, an urban casual lifestyle apparel and accessories brand for women, men and kids, and Baby Phat, the pioneering women’s streetwear brand synonymous with high-voltage glamour, today announce their first-ever collaboration: a limited-edition collection where the horseshoe meets the cat. Bringing together two unmistakable fashion legacies, the collection pairs True Religion’s signature denim, bold stitching and recognizable fits with Baby Phat’s iconic hot pink, crystal embellishments, satin, furry details and high-glam femininity. Together, they deliver the low-rise wardrobe of 2026 dreams. This is Y2K evolved for a new generation, with It-girls Aniya Harvey and Kayda Bosse fronting the collection and bringing a fresh perspective to the pop culture and celebrity style shaping fashion today.

Both brands helped define an era when fashion was bold, celebrity style was culture and getting dressed meant being seen. Now, True Religion and Baby Phat take the codes they made famous and push them forward for a generation discovering and reinventing the aesthetic on its own terms. The result is equal parts familiar and new – iconic denim meets fabulosity, bold self-expression meets glamour, and low rise takes center stage as the defining throughline of the entire collection.

“At True Religion, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to honor our legacy while staying connected to the culture shaping fashion today,” said Kristen D’Arcy, Chief Marketing Officer at True Religion. “Baby Phat shares that same spirit, with a bold point of view rooted in confidence, individuality and self-expression. Together, we’re bringing two iconic brands into a fresh conversation, combining our signature design codes with a new wave of talent and a modern perspective that makes the aesthetic feel relevant today.”

The campaign, “Making the Campaign,” places Aniya and Kayda inside an extravagant Beverly Hills mansion for glossy, aspirational imagery inspired by the celebrity-driven fashion culture of the 2000s. Their reality-TV fluency, natural chemistry and comfort in front of the camera give the campaign a distinctly current energy, creating a bridge between the audience that lived Y2K the first time around and a generation experiencing its fashion codes through reality TV, social media and fandom culture today.

“Making the Campaign” takes audiences behind the finished images in a mock reality-TV story inspired by MTV’s Making the Video. Wardrobe. Glam. Confessionals. Fit checks. Candid reactions. Controlled chaos. The final reveal. Aniya and Kayda turn the process of making the campaign into entertainment itself, with one obsession following them through it all: low-rise jeans.

“Baby Phat gave women a new language for glamour: commanding, luxurious and entirely their own,” said Kimora Lee, CEO and Founder of Baby Phat. “True Religion did the same for denim. This collection joins those two legacies. It’s not a throwback. It’s the real thing.”

Every bottom in the collection is low-rise, spanning denim bootcuts, flares and baggy jeans to sweatpants and micro skirts, creating a full wardrobe of silhouettes with distinct proportions. Fitted baby tees, satin bombers, denim and pink puffers, zip jackets, vests and furry trims round out the assortment, while hot pink makes a bold statement across denim, stitching, satin, sweats, outerwear and hardware. Crystal embellishments add another layer of glamour through allover treatments, playful doodles and crystal-trimmed tops. Standout pieces include an airbrushed baggy jean, shrunken satin bomber, pink denim and puffers, denim fur mini and halter set, coordinated looks and an approximately 10-inch micro skirt that pushes proportions even further.

True Religion x Baby Phat isn’t about looking backward. It’s about recognizing that the fashion codes these brands established never stopped evolving. By bringing together their shared history of celebrity style, denim, glamour and unapologetic self-expression with two personalities audiences are watching now, the collaboration moves that legacy forward with then, now and next combined with Y2K energy and 2026 attitude.

The True Religion x Baby Phat collaboration will be available to purchase on Tuesday, October 27 on TrueReligion.com, with the collection also available at BabyPhat.com. Additional details, including the full collection and campaign, will be revealed in the coming days.
